👋 Hey, I’m Vara Tumpala

I’m an Engineer — building data pipelines at work and exploring systems programming out of curiosity.

I spend most of my time building data pipelines and working with systems that move, process, and transform data at scale.

This blog is my personal space to document what I learn, share ideas, and keep a record of my notes, insights, projects, and experiments across data engineering, cloud computing, and systems programming.

Outside of data engineering, I enjoy going deeper into system programming and low-level architecture - understanding how things works under the hood.

💡 Projects

S3-SQL-Search — A fast file search engine for AWS S3 powered by Snowflake and Streamlit. This open-source framework brings database-style querying to Amazon S3, making it easy to search and analyze S3 file metadata using SQL.

kr-c-solutions (in progress) — My solutions to exercises from The C Programming Language (2nd ed.) by Kernighan and Ritchie. Solutions are organized by chapter in C, built with a Makefile.
